The forum was set up at an event in March 2006. Since then various organisations have been involved in the steering group to move things forward.

The steering group is represented at the Strategic Disability Partnership Board (SDP)

Physical Disability Strategy Consultation

Independence, Inclusion and Support is a strategy to show how the Council and local NHS will work together with and for people in the District with Physical Disabilities, Sensory Impairments and Long Term Conditions.

Bradford Council want to support people to stay well and independent, manage long-term health conditions, and ensure high quality care is there for vulnerable people. We welcome your views and contributions, so that we can respond to the challenges ahead with the right approach for the whole District.

They would be pleased to hear from everyone - people with physical disabilities, sensory impairments or long term conditions, their family members and carers, community groups and organisations, service providers and staff, and other members of the public.

The strategy is available in alternative formats; audio, BSL, large print.

To obtain a copy in your preferred format or to comment on the strategy, you can:

E-mail commissioninginbox@bradford.gov.uk with your comments.
