We are a Social & Self-Advocacy Group run by
and for Adults with Learning Disabilities
7 of the 25 members volunteer to run the office. With support from
staff and volunteers we have written policies that are accessible.
We are developing our advocacy skills and are already peer mentors
to others and individuals.
Through joining various community forums other organisations have
started to take on board the problems that they create and have started
to make information in a more accessible format for people with learning
disabilities to participate in a more inclusive way
Aims & Objectives:
Include
all people with learning difficulties by providing information and
training about managing a voluntary group.
Opening up opportunities for its members to speak
up for themselves.
